Trulioo, a Canada-based identity verification platform, has announced the appointment of Vicky Bindra as CEO.
He replaces Steve Munford, who is retiring after overseeing the company’s growth and expansion.
Bindra has worked in the fintech sector for over two decades, holding senior roles at financial services firms including FIS, Visa, and Mastercard.
Before joining Trulioo, he was Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Nuvei, where he focused on business growth and strategic partnerships.
His experience in payment solutions, digital commerce, and global market expansion aligns with Trulioo’s work in identity verification.
The company provides person and business verification services across more than 195 countries, working with banks, payment firms, and Fortune 100 enterprises.
During Munford’s tenure, Trulioo expanded its global operations, broadened its product offerings, and shifted from a focus on data verification to orchestration, document verification, and business verification, leading to a threefold increase in revenue.
Munford will assist Bindra in the transition.

“In an increasingly digital world, compliance, trust, and safety are paramount. While the regulatory environment and technological advancements present challenges for businesses in onboarding and managing customers and transactions safely, there is a need to improve speed while reducing friction and complexity,”
said Bindra.
“My focus will be on accelerating product innovation, enhancing our global reach, and delivering best-in-class solutions to the market. I look forward to working with the talented team at Trulioo to advance the company’s position as The World’s Identity Platform.”
