Crypto exchange Gemini has confidentially filed a draft registration statement on Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its Class A common stock.
Details regarding the number of shares to be offered and the expected price range have not yet been disclosed.
The IPO is anticipated to take place following the SEC’s review process, and will be subject to market and other conditions.
Last week, Circle officially joined the public markets, raising US$1.05 billion in one of the most anticipated IPOs of the year.
The firm had previously attempted to go public in 2021 via a SPAC merger but ultimately pulled the deal.
