BigCommerce, a Texas-based provider of commerce solutions, has announced a partnership with Klarna, a Sweden-based AI-driven payments and commerce network, to offer enhanced payment options to its merchants worldwide.
Through the collaboration, Klarna’s interest-free payment solutions will now be available to BigCommerce merchants, helping to optimise the shopping experience, improve customer retention, and support business growth via a single integration.
BigCommerce is an open SaaS and composable e-commerce platform that caters to businesses of all sizes, offering professional-grade functionality, personalisation, and performance.
The platform supports both B2B and B2C companies in over 150 countries, providing seamless integrations to scale online operations.
This partnership allows BigCommerce merchants to benefit from Klarna’s global reach and flexible payment offerings, designed to enhance the checkout experience and boost conversion rates.
Klarna’s suite of options includes Pay in Full, Pay in 4, interest-free instalments, and Fair Financing, aimed at giving consumers greater control and flexibility when making purchases.
Merchants receive full payment upfront, with Klarna assuming responsibility for customer collections.
Additional services such as real-time credit decisioning and fraud detection are included as standard.
BigCommerce merchants can now easily offer these payment solutions, reflecting both companies’ commitment to improving checkout performance and making larger purchases more accessible to shoppers.
Highlighting the motivation behind the partnership, BigCommerce stated its mission is “to support merchants with the tools they need to grow their business.”
The company added that Klarna’s global footprint and customer-centric approach “expand access to flexible payment solutions that drive conversion and customer loyalty across international markets.”
Klarna noted that the integration simplifies operations for brands and retailers, reducing dependence on fragmented regional providers and delivering a more scalable and consistent experience.
The solution is integrated directly with BigCommerce and maintained by its development team, ensuring ease of implementation for users across the platform.
