eBay has expanded its partnership with Klarna to bring the Klarna’s flexible payment options to US shoppers.
This move is aimed at providing greater flexibility and affordability across key product categories.
Avritti Khandurie Mittal, VP & General Manager of Global Payments and Financial Services at eBay, stated,

“We’re thrilled to expand our global strategic partnership with Klarna to the U.S. We’ve been very pleased with the positive customer and business impact Klarna has delivered in some of our key markets, including the UK and Europe, and we’re now excited to give millions of U.S. shoppers more flexible and affordable ways to pay on eBay.”
Klarna’s payment options have been available to eBay shoppers in the UK, Austria, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain since December 2024, enabling them to split payments for higher-ticket items.
Categories such as electronics, fashion, and collectibles have seen significant uptake of Klarna payments.
US shoppers can now access Klarna’s Pay in 4 option, which divides purchases into four interest-free payments, as well as financing options for larger purchases.
Klarna has also launched a resell feature for US eBay users, allowing them to list past Klarna purchases on eBay with pre-filled descriptions and images.
This feature has contributed to over half a million listings being created through Klarna’s app, promoting more sustainable consumption.
David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna, commented,

“We look forward to expanding our partnership to give millions of US shoppers greater flexibility to purchase what they love—whether it’s rare collectibles or a vintage coat, whenever, however, and in smarter, more personalised ways.”
The expansion of this partnership is part of eBay’s broader investment in its Payments and Financial Services business.
