As the Head of Digital Assets, you will manage and ensure competitive positioning of the Group’s Digital Assets strategy for Europe and Americas. Your role as a key strategic advisor and trusted partner to our leadership teams will embed Digital Assets (DA) adoption and competence. Based in New York, you will take ownership of executing global and local DA initiatives and regulatory and industry engagement on DA. You will also play a key role in supporting client coverage in DA related discussions.
- Strategic Client Engagement: Identify market opportunities and prioritise initiatives with the highest potential commercial return. Cultivate high-level relationships, moving beyond transactional interactions to become a consistent value-added partner. Engage with clients and industry leaders on key industry issues.
- Value Added Advisory: Confident in advising country leadership teams, policy makers and regulators as a DA subject matter expert for the region.
- Business Growth Initiatives: Work across business lines and functions to coordinate the execution and delivery of Digital Asset capabilities. Drive growth by assessing risk and appropriate levels of return in line with market leading best practice. Increase SCB's proposition as the best provider for Digital Assets though throught leadership and broad engagement across the US and Europe.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Anticipate stakeholder needs and deliver tailored solutions. Collaborate with Technology and Operations functions to implement appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructure to deliver Digital Asset initiatives in the region.
- Risk Engagement: Champion the development of tools and processes for the group such as Coin Assessment and Higher Risk Framework and engage in constructive dialogue to support key risk and compliance stakeholders.
- Relationship Building Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at the most senior levels.
- Commercial Initiative: Established experience executing business plans and initiatives within high growth companies and/or Financial Services.
- Extensive Industry Expertise: Proven background in Digital Assets, Crypto and Web3. Fintech would also be a considered advantage.
- Strong Regulatory Knowledge: Proven track record of successful regulatory engagement and knowledge of the crypto and DA regulatory landscape.
- Certifications: Hold relevant Crypto/ Blockchain certifications. Legal, Compliance and Finance certifications will be well regarded.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is USD350,000 to USD500,000. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
